“Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from the stomach of the fish, and he said, “I called out of my distress to the Lord, And He answered me. I cried for help from the depth of Sheol; You heard my voice. Then the Lord commanded the fish, and it vomited Jonah up onto the dry land.”
Jonah 2:1-2, 10
Many of us have been swallowed by a whale in our lives. Whether our whale looks like addiction, trauma, depression, anxiety or pride; let us all remember, in the belly of our whale, the Lord is listening for our prayer, our cry for help, ready to command that very whale to spit us out on His dry land.
In this day and age, while we have access to amazing tools, professionals, recovery programs etc. to aid us in our journey toward inner and outer healing; let's not forget, we serve Jehovah Rapha, God who heals and restores. Deliverance is available to us all, as it was to Jonah, and that comes on the side of prayer and obedience to what is asked of us. God wishes to restore and heal us to our pre damaged states of being, so that we may walk in all He has prepared for us.
Seek the help and the community we all need, but never forget, it is God who is our healer, always listening for our cry and ready to command freedom.
God Bless
